Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Inklyne, published by Jean-Christophe Bianic, collects, uses and protects your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller

2. Data collected
- Account: the information passed on by Google at sign-in (email address, name, profile picture where applicable). Inklyne stores no password.
- Content: the texts, projects, notes, journal entries and comments you save, together with their version history.
- Subscription: the state of your trial and subscription, and the customer identifier assigned by Stripe. Payment details (card numbers) are collected and stored by Stripe, never by Inklyne.
- Usage: writing sessions, progress, onboarding steps, preferences (language, theme).
- Technical: technical logs needed for the security and operation of the service (IP address, browser, timestamps).
- Audience measurement: browsing data collected by Google Analytics, only with your consent.
3. Purposes and legal bases

4. Service providers and recipients
Your data is not sold. It is processed by the following providers, each for the sole purpose stated:

Readings through your own AI client. If you connect your AI client (Claude, ChatGPT or another) to Inklyne through the connector, that client accesses the texts you ask it to read. That processing is governed by the terms and privacy policy of the provider you chose; Inklyne is not responsible for it.
Beta readers and circles. When you share a manuscript or take part in a writing circle, the texts and comments concerned are visible to the people you have chosen.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers (Google, Stripe, Anthropic, Resend, Reddit) are established in the United States or may process data there. These transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses), according to each provider's contractual commitments.
6. Retention periods
- Account data and content: for as long as the account is active.
- Account deletion: the account is deactivated immediately, then its data is permanently erased after a 30-day period during which the deletion can be cancelled on request.
- Encrypted backups: kept for a limited period, then deleted automatically.
- Billing data: kept for the statutory accounting retention period.
- Audience measurement: according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.
- Advertising measurement: according to the retention period configured in Reddit Ads.
7. Security
Exchanges with the service are encrypted (HTTPS). Database backups are encrypted before being stored off the main server. Access to the data is limited to the Publisher.
8. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access your data and export it (exporting your texts is available directly in the application),
- request its rectification or erasure (account deletion is available in your settings),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw your consent (through the cookie banner for audience measurement and advertising),
- exercise your right to data portability.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority (CNIL) if you believe your rights are not respected.
9. Cookies
Inklyne uses:
- technical cookies necessary for operation (session, preferences, security),
- audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics), only with your consent,
- advertising cookies (Reddit Ads), only with your consent, to measure the performance of Reddit campaigns.
A banner lets you customise your preferences at any time.
10. Changes to this policy
The Publisher may modify this policy. In case of substantial changes, users are informed by email or via the site.
